Shelita Ducré is an author, spoken word artist, and healing advocate whose work bridges the page, the podium, and the people.
A published author and graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in trauma, Shelita brings both lived experience and academic insight into every space she enters. She earned her BA in Psychology magna cum laude and is building toward a future as a licensed therapist and trauma specialist focused on healing individuals, families, and communities.
As a Sharing Hope Ambassador, Shelita is committed to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and breaking the silence that too often surrounds pain. Whether in community spaces, classrooms, on stage, or through her writing, she creates conversations centered on truth, healing, and human connection.
Her debut memoir, A Life Shaped Before It Was Named, is available now, with her second book currently in development.
Shelita believes healing is not a destination — it is a practice. Through her voice, her pen, and her presence, she is committed to helping others name what shaped them and discover what is still possible beyond survival.
